Info Heilige Senke
Befindet sich etwa 600 m tiefer als Cuzco in einer Höhe von 2900 m.. Durch dieses Tal fließt der Vilcanota Fluß. Das heilige Tal ist eines der schönsten Täler innerhalb Perus. Es besitzt malerische Dörfer und ein wunderschönes und mildes Klima.
Es ist wohl bekannt, dass die Inkas große Astronomen waren. Die wichtigsten Ortschaften des heiligen Tals (Pisaq, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo und Chinchero) wurden als Observatorien genutzt.
Klima: Warm und besitzt eine jährliche Durchschnittstemperatur zwischen 15° bis 20°.
